I almost forgot today's blog post!

I got some exciting news yesterday...I was contacted by a buyer in Seattle who works for www.Zulily.com, and she wanted to know if I would be interested in selling some of my Puddin' Pies clothing on their site! What an honor that someone who works in that field sees potential in my work!

However...I talked to her today and got more details. The biggest one being, I would have to sew between 500-1000 dresses before I could even start selling on their site. She said I could schedule out a while in order to make that happen--even to like January if I needed to. Umm, well, I don't really think that is humanly possible. There are approximately 30 days in a month. Three months from now to the end of January=approx 90 days. So I would have to make at least 6 dresses a day for the next 90 days. Including Sundays. And Christmas. And Thanksgiving. And New Years. And my profit for killing myself and neglecting my family to do all this work? $1.50-$2.00 per dress. And that's only if I actually sold every single one I made, which I probably wouldn't. I REALLY prayed about this, because I REALLY wanted to do it. But I really feel now like the Lord is saying, you are worth more than this. Your family is worth more. It was an honor to be asked, but I will be letting the buyer know tomorrow I am not going to do it, and I know God will bless me in other ways for following His will instead of just doing it MY way.

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

Ok...so to say I have been struggling with Halloween candy, all while trying to live a healthier lifestyle, is an understatement! But yesterday morning I prayed to God for strength. Then in the afternoon when the Reese's PB Cups were calling my name (they are my absolute fave!!!) I felt God saying to me, do you want to have to say you are sorry AGAIN for this in our time together tomorrow morning? Of course I knew what He meant--since I had been apologizing the last three days for eating candy and junk food, and asking for His forgiveness each time. And Praise the Lord I felt FREE!!!! I still do feel FREE!!!! Obedience to God is not a prison, it is FREEING!!!! I love it. Also, it got to be about 10PM and I hadn't exercised yet--so while Mark and I watched TV, I marched in place for 30 minutes. Not exactly the kind of workout most peeps do, but it is SOMETHING! We have a deal that if I exercise every single day in November, he will take me somewhere special. So I certainly didn't want to mess it up the first day! I love how supportive he is of me. Thank you Lord for blessing me with such an amazing husband, whom I have been married to for 10 years on the 13th. Unbelievable. Lord, if I could count all your blessings to me I would never get anything else done, because I would be counting all day long. Thank you Jesus. I love you!!!!
