Day 3
3. Describe your relationship with your parents.
My mom--I have always adored my mom. I remember helping her with laundry, grocery shopping, and gardening as a little kid, and since I was the baby I got a lot of one on one time with her while Jeff and Sue were at school. As I got into junior high she went back to work, and I think just because of the age I was becoming my friends became more of a focus. In high school I was in everything under the sun--volleyball, cheerleading, school plays, speech, swing choir, color guard, track (throwing stuff, I didn't run!), etc. Then I got a boyfriend sophomore year and that pretty much consumed my life. Fast forward to college, then graduating college, and I was out on my own. Friends went their own separate ways, and I sure did miss her again! I went home to visit as often as possible, even after getting married. We have moved closer to my folks and I am glad that now I am a mom too we can be friends like we are. We are very similar in many ways and I am glad for that cuz she is pretty awesome. :)
My dad and I have not always had it that great, mostly because I think I didn't understand him as a kid. He owned a gas station in town that was open Monday through Friday from 8AM to 6PM, and Saturdays 8AM to noon, and he also farmed hogs and crops, so obviously he was a really hard worker. But consequently he really wasn't around all that much since he was always working. When he WAS, he would be harsh in his words to me and I resented him a lot. By the time college rolled around I didn't even really want to be around him all that much. However I had a time of deep depression in college, and eventually I fessed up to Mom and Dad about it. Around the same time I began praying that I would have a healed relationship with him. Since then God has healed our relationship, and I think maybe he eased up on me too because of what I was going through. Now we have a really good relationship and I know he loves me and my family to death, he just hasn't always been sure how to show it. :)

Day 2
Describe 3 legitimate fears you have and explain how they became fears:
1. Dogs. I used to babysit for these people that had a ginormous Great Dane that barked like crazy whenever we would walk by their house. And once when I was there babysitting, their schnauzer bit me in the leg HARD and I still have a scar. Ever since then, no doggies for me.
2. The dark. I don't know why, I have been that way since I was little.
3. That my hubby will leave me. I guess that's not so much a legitimate fear, but I worry that I will annoy him too much, or that I will get too old and fat and ugly for him. Thankfully he loves me a lot so this is really a silly one.
